Working research documents — sources consulted, analytical notes, and lines of inquiry pursued during development.
The Research Ledgers are the practice's working record of its own inquiry. They exist because provenance requires it: a claim is only traceable if the path by which it was established was recorded at the time. The ledgers hold that path, including the lines of inquiry that were pursued and abandoned.
